Maybe a New OC.

Did a little sketch and colouring yesterday during work breaks. May or may not be a new OC. Not sure what their story is about yet. 

 

Fyoden with Coffee

Fall is coming. Chilly weather's around the corner, so longer sleeves are in order. And nice hot cup of coffee. 

(P.S. I was told that he resembles Egon Spengler from 'Ghostbusters' and I won't deny it, Fyoden may have been subconsciously inspired by him XP)

AUGUST 2022 SKETCH WRAP-UP

So it is the end of August, and here be some sketches which I have done for the month. Had me the pleasure of watching 'THE NORTHMAN' and also 'THE SANDMAN', which essentially make up the bulk of my sketches here. This was also the month I created my OC Fyoden, and I have had some sketches of his face and figure as well. 

Okay, not all NORTHMAN and SANDMAN stuff. Later in the month, things get a bit more random as I jump from WESTWORLD's Lee Sizemore, to Alexander Skarsgard and Oliver Jackson Cohen, to the character shown in the new DUNE: AWAKENING trailer, before ending with a portrait of Floor Jansen seeing 'Shoemaker' at Hellfest 2022 (highlight of the concert for me).

Frog Butts

So... was the book any good? Yes, it was very good. THE EXTRAORDINARY BOOK OF FROG BUTTS proved a most delightful read, and Fyoden loved it very much. 

But... it seems that he has fallen asleep. That is because he hasn't been sleeping much lately and is in dire need of slumber. 

Tsk tsk.

Chill Afternoon

Just Fyoden chilling on a Sunday afternoon with a hot drink and a book. Is the book any good? He'll have to find out. 

Cabbage Snack

Some new I learned about Fyoden.

Mini story behind this, and also behind the inspiration for Fyoden: Yesterday, around the time when Fyoden came to me as a character, while walking over to the pantry for a hydration break, I came across a guy from another department I have never met before who had this somewhat cool-looking goatee (I mostly saw him from the side and back, so didn't really see his face) and just as he sat at a table, he pulled his sandals off so that he was barefooted and then started munching on some cabbage leaves he had laid out on a piece of tissue paper, all while staring out the picture window at the company garden. I immediately fell in love with his vibe. Big mood, right there!

And that was how Fyoden came to be. The mullet, the glasses, the tattoo on his left arm and his light-coloured hair are mostly personal additions, but everything else is pretty much based on the guy.

'Cause MULEs need naps, too~

Did a little doodle today of MULEs Cosmic (@voidoutbt's OC) and Franc (my OC) taking a bit of a nap, while some cryptobiotes hang around having a bit of fun. 

I got a little story behind this little piece. At some point earlier today at work, I got so sleepy that I started nodding off in front of my work station so much that I had to pull away. The last thing I wanted was to be caught dozing off at my desk -- which had happened to me a fair few times before -- so I went to get hydrated and walked around the office a bit, all while thinking I could just take a nap. 

That was when this image came into my head, of Cosmic and Franc just taking a nap and cuddling something -- for Cosmic, their George the Shark plushie and for Franc, Sam's boot (yes, he has a thing for Sam's boots). And then, this little picture happened.

My DEATH STRANDING Persona/OC : Franc ( + friend )

Yesterday, I did something different from my usual stuff. During work breaks, I did some doodles and sketches of myself as a MULE from DEATH STRANDING. (I guess this is kinda like an OC that is based on me. Plus I have a name for him, too, that is partially mine. Meet Franc -- from my confirmation name, Francis XP.)

I have been thinking about drawing these for a while now ever since @voidoutbt and I started talking about the possibility of us being MULEs in the UCA, and after taking more in-game photos of the MULEs and discussing scenarios of us as them, I was finally motivated to try it.

It was a lot of fun to do! I got to put myself in my favourite uniform and live out a part of that fantasy. I guess for the face, I don't exactly look like that, but I'd like to think that I do XP

Anyways, yeah so after drawing one, I thought I had some fun with my expressions. I may add more in the future, but for now, yeah I have done my confused looked and also my oops-i-did-it-again look.

Oh and since I have been talking about this with @voidoutbt, I thought I'd make a doodle of them as one too! So here they are with me. Them being confident and mischievous-looking, while I look quite anxious and nervous at the back. So here they are: Franc and Cosmic.

And yes, I am always nervous.
