[NSFW] DEATH STRANDING FANART -- Dom Higgs & Sub Sam

WARNING: Mild nudity, suggestive, BDSM Dom/Sub imagery

===========================================

So I finally did it! My first mildly NSFW DEATH STRANDING art on here. Well, kinda. It's not exactly NSFW but it ain't exactly something suitable for BB to see, either way.

I have @voidoutbt @missteal1-blog to thank for this inspiration that came out of all of our chats. Thanks, hun, for the encouragement and also all the idea exchanges that we have that led up to this XP.

So here is the pic. [nervous sweating]

. . .

Inspired by an Instagram reel that I saw today that was made by this person, the landscape in that reel was so breath-taking and interesting that I had to make something. However, instead of lifting the colours from the reel, I decided to make mine grey and moody with lots of fog. Plus, I got to do more wave and foam painting, so that was fun!

Slow Down

It's okay to slow down. To take a breather. To recentre. To reconnect. To simply be.

. . .

Wishing y'alls a good Monday. More fun with ocean waves and foam lines and ripples and clothe folds because I really enjoy making them. Here are some close-ups of the painting.

. . .

In the mood for something eldritch and beach-y today. I have no idea what is that in the fog. I pretty much just played around with a couple of strokes until I found something that seemed fitting.

Painting the sea (waves and foam and all) and the raincoat was so much fun! and I am especially proud with my work with them, so here's a close-up of it!

Please Come Back

Please Come Back
1980 x 1200
SketchBook

. . .

Will you ever come back to me?

I was hoping to make the tears a little more obvious, but one can't really overdo it now, can one?

I was very much inspired by the third Fantastic Beasts film for this one. The movie is alright, pretty fun, but still ridden with loads of problems, but I'm not here to discuss that. No, I'm here to talk about my inspiration behind this.

[WARNING: Spoiler ahead!]

So at the climax when Dumbledore and Grindelwald dueled each other, I was blown away by the whole thing. Ignoring the blood oath shenanigan (I didn't really buy that element of the story, to be honest, I thought the story would have been better without it), the fight between the pair was very emotionally charged! The blows, the grunts, the expressions on their faces, the music! All of this revealed so much about them, their relationship, their past. They clearly loved each other and still do. The betrayal that Grindelwald must have felt, and Dumbledore's own guilt. It was intense and is perhaps one of my favourite moments in the movie. (I cried for goodness' sakes!)

This piece is me imagining Grindelwald just after the fight, when he has apparated to somewhere secluded, and maybe just taking time to recollect himself... and perhaps cry, too.

Our hooman and his ancient companion needs to go somewhere now. I'm not sure where that is, but it takes them through this foggy ridge. Along the way, they pick up a little friend, who needs a ride because she is tired from the all the flying she has to do.

Here's a close-up of the travelling trio:

Crystal Skies

Crystal Skies

SketchBook

. . .

In the mood for something prehistoric and ancient today. I used to draw a lot of dinosaurs as a kid. Not sure why that stopped, but recently discovered Genndy Tartakovsky's 'PRIMAL', which I am hoping to watch soon, that reignited this urge to draw dinos again. I should really get back into it soon. Drawing this raptor (either a juvenile Utahraptor or Austroraptor I would think -- a little too big for Velociraptor or Deinonychus) felt nostalgic af!

Trying out a slightly different style. Rougher strokes, less polished and not as smudged. I am kinda liking the blockiness and roughness of the look, though I must say with this piece... I am noticing that I tend towards very muted colours in my digital stuff. Not sure if it is a conscious thing or not, though.

Might want to try a bit more vividness in the future. Just to see.

Sometimes, you just wanna melt into the world around you
And just ... simply be.

And perhaps that is all that you need.

Some illustrations for a fanfic that I am writing

I have recently written the first part of a piece of DEATH STRANDING fanfic which I have posted on TUMBLR that centers around a major character from the game named Higgs Monaghan and I would like to share two illustrations which I have made to go along with that story.

For context, this is a personal headcanon of mine, in which I hope to write a story where Higgs gets his second chance at life. Ever since I learned about Higgs' past and the way he has been treated and used all his life, I sympathize with him and wish to write so that he would come back and find his way back to coexist with everyone else.

This is only the beginning, of course. I have still a long way to go, I guess.

If you want to read the first part, you may come here: https://samfrancis94.tumblr.com/post/680780672483409921/stranded-part-1

March 2022 Sketches: WRAP UP!

More figures and clothes to study, with a little more diversity in fabric types and poses compared to those in February, and it has been really fun this time around. Even did a portrait sketch of Aloy from HORIZON ZERO DAWN -- that surprisingly I didn't mess up and that I am very very proud of.

I also used a ballpoint pen from my office to sketch at one point -- because I realised I left my pencil case at home, which meant I didn't have my 4B sketching pencil with me, so I had to improvise.
